Hello, Team! We are officially halfway into Round-Up Ride Race Week! Hope you’re getting excited and checking off all the boxes to make sure you are ready for this epic event!Mansfield Team Dinner (Friday):If you are staying in Mansfield overnight, picking up your packet at the Dallas Star Center, or just want to hang with some MFers pre-ride on Friday, we will be meating up at The Backyard in Mansfield (109 S. Main St.) between 6:30 – 8:30. This is a casual spot with several eateries to choose from and the time frame is come-and-go to accommodate anyone being transported to Mansfield via the shuttle from the FW Botanical Gardens (arriving at the hotels around 7pm).Event Details:As you’re packing for the weekend, check out this handy list provided by our amazing NMSS staff: Please also make sure you have reviewed the event page closely for the weekend schedule, route maps, start and finish locations, and have shared any relevant information with friends and family who may be planning to come out and spectate and/or join in the finish festivities! Jerseys and Team Photo:Several have asked about the plans for jerseys for Saturday and Sunday. As it’s probably easiest to get a team photo at the start on Day 1, plan to wear a Meat Fight team jersey on Saturday. We will gather for a team photo at 6:30 a.m. by the luggage trucks and bike compound (see map of start below): As you’re parking or getting off your shuttle arriving to the start, head on over to drop off your overnight bags and assemble for our photo (a group of Meat Fighters is typically hard to miss!) After the photo, we will head into the chute; we are in the #1 spot to lead out the ride, based on our team fundraising position from 2024, so you won’t want to wander too far from the start line!On Sunday, wear a jersey of your choice! Another gorgeous Meat Fight jersey would look great out there and keep those MEAT FIGHT!!! shout-outs going along the course! Or show off that Top Fundraiser or Passport jersey to celebrate your fundraising badassery! If you Ride with MS, this year’s NMSS IRWMS jersey is a great choice for Sunday, but you might also want to pack this jersey in your change of clothes for Day 1, as at the finishers’ village there will be an IRWMS Champions’ Finish at 3:30. You won’t want to miss the photo op of all of the MS Warriors proudly wearing this year’s IRWMS design!A couple of things to note for the Saturday and Sunday finishes:There is no parking directly at the Day 1 Finish Village in Glen Rose. Guests will park at the expo center and there will be a shuttle running throughout the day to and from Paluxy Heritage Park. On Sunday, note parking and shuttles for all spectators at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens: There are no showers at the FW Botanical Gardens, but there will be places to change. What a fantastic weekend awaits us – I can’t wait to see you all in just a couple of days!
